Brands That Are Taking Halloween To The Next Level

This past fall, companies were taking the Halloween season very seriously.

The spooky holiday had brands by the likes of Burger King, Natural Light, Verizon, Mars and Xfinity all releasing well thought out ads to capture the Halloween spirit as well as creatively
promoting their brand.

One of the most popular ad campaigns this season was the Mars ‘Bite-size Horror’ films. This campaign consisted of two minute scary shorts to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.

In this Bite Size Horror short by Skittles, things get strange during a girl's elevator ride after work. While waiting to go down, the elevator unexpectedly goes up and down until it opens up to a man facing his back towards her. He weakly asks for her help while trying not to reveal himself.

What I found most interesting about these shorts was that they weren’t made to focus on the product but instead mainly focused on the plot and story they were creating. This campaign debuted on Fox scared not only me, but millions of other Halloween lovers.

Xfinity also contributed to this short horror trend with its commercial about a haunted mask, but unlike Mars they included their product of Xfinity Home Security to grow their product awareness.

Overall I’m loving the trend of Halloween related campaigns and I really hope these creative campaigns continue in the upcoming holiday season.
